Has anyone tried the game on Windows 7 (or Vista, at least)?

For those that don't know about it, its one of the best mafia-related games ever made.

The only place hosting a digital copy is GG: http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-GL/gangland
So it's a bit like a low-level Syndicate? Navagon must be getting hot and bothered by now.

I think I've played that before. If it's the same one I remember, it was pretty cool.

You have your own HQ, the police comes for their paycheck, you can hire lawyers to work for you, you can find yourself a wive, "buy" local stores / hotels / factories / repair shops / other stuff for weapon / alcohol production, hire guys to fight for you, drive a few vehicles, attack the enemy HQ, attack their stores, destroy their stores, take over their stores, use different weapons...

Really a great game in its time. Dunno if it was popular much though.

It has a LAN mode for 8 players, I played it with a friend back in the days, fun! fun! fun! :D
This is a great example of an obscure game getting a new lease on life by being sold online. When we have every game online, we'll have a better chance of picking up those overlooked gems that would've faded into a bargain bin at a brick-and-mortar store.
It got average reviews. I want to try it out actually.
