Rondel: Mass Effect 2
Empire Total War
Total Annihilation Kingdoms
Bioforge
The Dig
Icewind Dale 2
Full Throttle
Heroes 2
Propably more, I listed only those games which I can see on my shelfs.

I also had a problem getting to The Dig, but when I finally played through it I really appreciated the game and how it ended...

bansama: You really should play Assassin's Creed 2. It's way better than the original and has a ton of game play in it. Took me 36 hours or so to complete the main story and I still have a ton of side missions to do.
avatar
StingingVelvet: Agreed on all points, though somehow it looks worse visually than the original.
When I asked people about it they seem to find creed 2 too dark at times and that they missed all the (harsh) shadows from the first one.. So in other words they didn't like the variable lighting that they complained was missing from the original -.-

The pop-in is also worse, and the textures seem lower res. The original ran at a low framerate on consoles from what I understand, so I assume they lowered some things to get it running better.

pop in was about the same but there was less filtering to disguise it which hurt badly but the lower filtering allowed higher populations and some other improvements
I've started restricting myself of buying for the cheap price and have tested a couple of games just to see if they work all right. Those I've never installed though:
Martian memorandum mean streets: Got it as a gift from GOG, i think. Haven't checked it out yet.
Antaeus Rising, Sacrifice, Imperial Glory, both Ground Controls (did play the first's demo ages ago), The Patrician, Tropico reloaded, the Guild, Painkiller, Freespace 2, Arx Fatalis, Commandos 1,2,3, Jagged Alliance 2 and Unfinished Business. I've installed a bunch of others for a few minutes and then uninstalled to play at a later date. The reason these I've mentioned haven't been played is that when installation time of a new game comes, I've just picked something else depending on my current mood.
From Steam: Evil Genius, Medieval Total war 2 (and the alexander expansion), Defense grid the awakening and Splinter cell double agent (too big to download even).
Retail I've got a Battle for middle earth anthology collection where i've only installed the first game, played three missions and gotten sidetracked with other things. Also got a Delta Force pack where I've only played the blackhawk down one and a fallout pack where I've only played part of the first game and not the other 2.
So whenever a new deal comes up, I look at my stuff and I go: I still got a TON of good games to play, why am i spending on stuff I don't have the time to play with? That helps me control the inpulse buying a bit. I might regret it down the road or find an even better deal, but what I really need to buy is TIME, not games. Games I've got enough.
Only 1. Simcity 2000 ... owned it since release >_<
As for Sacred 2 ... I had absolutely no trouble at all installing and running on windows 7. I have the gamersgate version and I have had no issues at all.
My list is too long to show here.
/shame
For those of you that haven't finished Mass Effect 1 or 2 ...
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE go finish them! I promise you'll be glad you did. I've honestly never been sucked into a story as much as I was with those two games.
It took me 3 tries to finish Mass Effect 1. I kept starting it and couldn't get far enough into it for my it to really hold my interest. However, when I made myself get over that very first initial 'hump,' I couldn't put it down.
As for me, I have never managed to finish Warcraft 3, no matter how many times I've tried to play it.

StingingVelvet: On another forum I go to we did a thread about games you never finished, but how about games you own and never, not even to test it, have installed on your PC?
I realized I own many...
Prototype - Just never got around to it.
STALKER Call of Pripyat - Need to finish Clear Sky first
Death to Spies - Bought it because I loved Death to Spies 2, but haven't got around to it yet.
Divinity 2 - Too many RPGs!
Raven Squad - Got it from gogamer for like $3, haven't bothered yet.
Sacred 2 & Expansion - Yeah I dunno, just keep not doing it... had it for almost 2 years now.

I have 100s between my consoles and PC, that's why I hate MMOs so much, so much good gaming wasted picking freaking herbs and making potions to raid in WOW. What a tragedy. Even now I can afford to pick up 20 dollar specials on hot XBox games because I'm so behind. I just finished Darksiders and pulled out Mass Effect (the first one). I never finished Fallout 3 (got bored, don't know why really, I played really far into it). I have games that I've installed but only fired up for 5 minutes or less, if at all. I am much more of a collector I guess. Though I love playing games when I get the chance.

sauvignon1: I have the Diablo Battle chest sitting right in front of me, but I've never installed Diablo 2, and I've only played the first one for about 10-20 minutes.

Honestly, storywise you're not missing much. Watch the cutscenes on Youtube and you got the story. Play Titan Quest instead, it's a much better game in all ways.
I know there are some hardcore fans that will hate me for the above, but it's true, after the years of waiting, the sequel was terrible, unbalanced and wasn't that fun before or after I played the hell out of it.
