thelovebat: I just looked up Operation Flashpoint on gamefaqs. It gets pretty high ratings across the board. GoG should bring it back so I can play it.
Am I the only one that imagined the Men on Film guys with their tiny hats doing reviews of games?

It'd be great to know the "official" reason (read not bullshit marketing sweettalk) why these games get "lost".

For the racing games it was due to the licensing of in game cars and or music lapsing.

Flashpoint was a legal battle over who had the rights to publish it.

Obscure and Hostile waters were more legal battles over who had the rights to offer them to GOG (I think).

This is the version I bought (I already had the original + Red Hammer, and wanted Resistance plus a single installation for all). Works like a champ and seems fully compatible with the ginormous amount of mods and add-ons. I know, it's not GOGified but it'll satisfy anyone jonesing for it, at a similar price.

Obscure was apparently removed due to licensing issues with the music.

However, it's still sold on GamersGate (albeit at a higher price).
