Thought I would give this a try since the Eschalon Games were on Sale and DRM Free. However they download into some tempory files and start the install immediatly. How do I go about getting the game so I can install it when I want and where? So far I am not very impressed with GamersGate.

When the download is complete, let the installer start up, but don't do anything else. Now, look into the temporary folder. You should see all your files in there. Copy the folder and paste it elsewhere, and there you go. Your files are now DRM-free (assuming they don't come with 3rd party DRM like SecuROM or Tages).

How the authenticator works is that it encrypts the installer file. To unlock it, you have to log in before the installer will start up. So in a way, you are tricking the authenticator into "unlocking" the game for you while you do the copy the unlocked installer.
