When i start a game, it says that it has to update, if i decline it will sign me out of xbox live. When the update starts, the bar fills up maybe 3% and then displays an error message. I have already cleared thhe system cache but the problem still persists.

This isn't an Xbox support forum, and you've already posted this in another topic.
I understand but in the previous forum, i have already marked a solution and i thought i would get a responce if i made a new one. The xbox forums are no help

This. The reality is that if you couldn't get an answer on the xbox forums, your even less likely to get an answer here since it's more of a PC-centric board.
So do you guys know anything that could help?
Be honest, do you have any pirated crap on your console? That makes a difference in the answer.

I can tell you, you need to call, and devise a way to get past first level support, they are 8 dollar an hour script readers, and though they are unfailingly nice and bubbly, they cannot help you.

I'd also unplug any extra USB crap you have connected (Play and Charge cord, Kinect, etc.) and try again.
Also even if the game you're trying to play isn't pirated, we need to know if you've done anything like soft-modded, chipped, custom firmware... anything that would have changed your XBox from what Microsoft sent out.
Decline the update there is no reason to.... unless... OOOoooo
