I asked someone to purchase me a copy of the Baldur's Gate 2 game for Christmas and instead got a copy of Baldur's Gate the original series. Unfortunately I already own this game. Is there anyone out there that would like to trade? I can provide a screenshot with the code entered or however you want to verify this.

GOG support suggested I try this since they are saying they cannot just switch out my key for a BG2 copy.

Thanks for your help.
If you already added it to your account, it is yours forever.
I have taken it to the point where it states what game it is but never accepted it. So the "code" is still good for the game. Never confirmed.

This was my main argument with tech support was that I have not activated it so I have obviously not downloaded it.

But thank you for making it more clear. I have not activated the game code. I saw it was the wrong game and stopped there. So it will still work to trade codes.

You could try your luck here or here.
(Oh, and you don't have to take a screenshot of the code; you can send it in e-mail to the intended recipient.)

What would you trade it for?

I'm guessing they still want "Baldur's Gate 2".
Yes. I am looking specifically for Baldur's Gate 2. It was such a good game. I will try those places mentioned above.

Thanks for your help guys.

I've seen Xyem offer these kinds of trades before, so I've prodded him for you.
Of course, I can in no way guarantee that he will be able to help you out.

So I hear someone has a code they don't want and a game they do?

Pretty simple offer really, you give me the code and I'll gift you BG2. My email is my GOG username @electricjungle.org if you want to take the offer up.

Thanks Zchinque for pointing out this thread :)
I don't see a reason why digital "stuff" should have a value (ANY value) from a second market point of view. Really, I just can't figure out this weirdness....
