Is there anywhere i could possibly put a suggestion to GOG about trying to see if they can acquire a game at all?

the game in question is NOCTURNE for pc, its a kind of 3rd person horror / shooter .

I remember having a demo back in the day and it was great from what i played but sadly never got around to the full game.

found a wiki on it

Awesome Thanks :D
The problem is, beyond licensing, that it doesn't play well with Windows 7 at all.

This. Although the subsequent Blair Witch games (where Rustin Parr is a direct sequel to Nocturne) do run fine, as long as you run them in software mode. Apparently there are means and ways of getting the game to run with 3D acceleration, but I've never got it to work.

Still, given that the Blair Witch games also run using the Nocturne Engine and work under Windows 7, hope is not lost.

Didn't Nocturne have a software mode?

It did, but given that it refuses to start in the first place, activating it proves a little difficult.

Nope!
Ah, I remember this game. In fact, I think I played the very same demo you did, also never getting the full version. I'll vote for it, too.

Could you elaborate? I've done everything everyone has suggested to get it running on Windows 7.

Did you tick Windows 95 compatibility settings in "NOCTURNE PROPERTIES"

Tick Disable visual themes

Tick Disable desktop composition

Tick Disable display scaling on high DPI settings

Tick Run this Program As An Administrator

Works wonderful on my WINDOWS 7 Pro 64 bit edition

Last but not least keep "screen resolution" open while you attempt to run this game it helps a LOT!

Right click and click on SCREEN RESOLUTION Keep it open and Minimized for running older apps works like a charm

I did indeed, save for the Screen Resolution thing. I don't have my disc on me, so I can't try it out, sadly, but none of the other things helped.
