Whatever your stance on piracy is, this is pretty funny:

http://www.greenheartgames.com/2013/04/29/what-happens-when-pirates-play-a-game-development-simulator-and-then-go-bankrupt-because-of-piracy/

The user comments from some of the pirates are hilariously self-unaware.

I believe the game is DRM-free (and has a free demo). I have not bought it myself, so I don't know if it is actually any good.
I heard the game is kinda rip-off from similar game from year 2010, Game Dev Story i think. They even borrow the name.

Potentially, though sometimes I feel people use the word "rip-off" to just mean "similar too" - I mean they are both games about creating a development studio - but I can't comment about how similarly they play since I haven't played either one nor do I have any intention of doing so.
Saw another topic discussing the piracy marketing trick.

But I heard that this game was DRM-Free...supposedly (Going by this post). So I might check it out.

I don't know about how they play but I wouldn't be surprised if they were just "similar to." How many ways can you create a game dev sim before having some overlap? Someone's already created Segagaga, there's pretty much no other way to go!
