F4LL0UT: Well, somehow the GOG community has managed to remain rather civil compared to many other gaming communities (with very little moderation at that!). I have no idea what effect a flood of new users might have, especially ones coming mainly for competitive online gaming. Sadly online gaming seems to bring forth some the most disgusting human beings ever.
To be honest, in my time here, I haven't seen this forum as anybody than any other. It is tighter knit sure, But there are a lot pretentious people here. I had been told that before I joined by a friend who was quite active here for a while. GoG users seem to be of higher intelligence, but i swear there are a few wannabe intellectual internet warriors around here. Regardless, I don't expect the hardcore Dota\MLG crowd to be too interested in the old games. There is no starcraft or warcraft. I believe galaxy will bring on a casual level of competition. Plus, the more DRM-free press, The better.

I would love it if this community were more inclined to actually play games together opposed to only talking about them.

Completely agree with this, if GOG provides this... GameRanger can then go from my PC. It's not something used a lot anyway. Would love native support for this.

I wouldn't say "very little moderation", more like "careful moderation without an iron fist" as there is no point in abusing the little bit of power one has on these forums :)

I will accredit you stayed hand for the reason I haunt these threads. over-moderation (ironic, right?) kills my desire to participate in a community. I'll deal with the flapping heads if it keeps the place from regressing into an echo chamber.
