Did you notice how lacking Windows Runtime's .NET documentation is compared to the JavaScript one? I won't be using that freaking pathetic language even if it was a question of life or death.

Therefor, frustration.

The thread's name was 'Frustration', so I was venting out my frustration. :D

makr3la: Oh come on. It's still 30% off!
Yeah, but they got us hooked on 50%+ off so now, 30% off is meh.

Also, there is some fondness for the halfway mark in the human brain.

Probably has something to do with it being the highest ratio of the original price where you can say that you could buy a natural number multiple of the product that is greater than 1 for the original price or less.

steadydecline: Here is the algorithm for getting a game not on sale for super cheap:
1) Get uTorrent
2) Go to a torrent site.
3) Download the torrent and eventually the game.
4) Play the game!!
5) When the game is on sale, purchase the game + 1.

They reason why I say "+1" is because by the time "Planescape: Torment" is on sale, so are about 5 other excellent games for ultra-low prices. What better way to show your support for GOG than to make an additional purchase to say "Thank you!"

It's basically reverse pirating where GOG and publishers of old games benefit while the customer gets to experience great gaming.
I get the sentiment, but it defeats the offer&demand marketplace principles upon which stores such as this one depends.

By satisfying your craving for the game for free, you considerably reduce your desire to acquire it and thus it's perceived value (and in the process, you'll rob them of a few dollars, because you won't be willing to pay as much for it due to the reduced value).

If you really think a 10$ game is in fact worth 5$, then you'll patiently wait until the price goes down to 5$ and if you find yourself unable to do that, then obviously the game is worth more than 5$ to you.

JMich: They did? When? Worked fine when FTL got released, seems to work fine now as well.
My mistake. I didn't put anything in my shopping cart, just checked the price on the individual games, and it showed a constant 30% off. Now I put one in my shopping cart and the full discount was there.
not a big fan of this type of sales, wanted planetscape but screw it, i won't die without it, still have having fun with divine divinity and i think it's gonna be a while until i move on to another game
