jorgesc: But...humm...¿Irrational Games on Steam? ¿Do you think wee see Swat 4, Tribes: Vengeance and....System Shock 2 in Steam?
Irrational's games went through several different publishers. I count the following names:
Electronic Arts
Crave
Vivendi
Sierra
2K (if we're including Bioshock)
and... Irrational Games (FF2 was self-published, for some regions)
Frankly I'm unsure how this package deal has come about, given the difference in publishers for the two games, but perhaps Irrational retained some publishing rights, and 2K is behind it?
Anyhow, my point is that the appearance of two of Irrational's games doesn't necessarily have any bearing on the likelihood of their other games showing up.

this is weird, but i have to recommend people check out x-com on direct 2 drive. it's 2.50 through today and, for some reason, DRM free. still, you have to get a d2d account, but for such an awesome game at two bucks, it may be worth it.

Word. Note the Steam version is region restricted, yet D2D isn't.
And effing add my new Steam account, captfitz.

just got the package deal for FF and FF-TR
good games. cant find my original FF and i never played TR.
seems to be the electronic arts/crave entertainment bundle going by the logos that appear at start up.
For the record the X-Com games are only restricted on Steam. They are available world wide on both D2D and Gamersgate.
Le bought, will le download le later. Lalala.

Sweet! Thanks for the info. I've been hoping to see X-COM on GOG for a while, but at $2.50 and DRM free it's pretty tough to pass up.
Hmmm... Probably going to wait and see if Splinter Cell shows up here.
Love 4 Steam. I got it.
Haven't played Freedom Force since it was released, and I never got the chance to try the sequel! I wish Steam would get older games more often!
I'm waiting for Splinter Cell to show up here on GOG as well, especially since Steam is missing Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory for some reason.
But yeah, you can say I'm very loyal to Steam and GOG so far as they're really the only two places I buy PC games anymore. If I REALLY want to play something and I know it's not going to end up here or on Steam, I'll reluctantly buy it =/ (the whole fiasco with Bionic Commando: Rearmed just barely missing Steam is one example).
The only two gripes I have with Steam is I wish they would implement some kind of "credit" system where you can trade back in games you bought, played through, and ended up not liking and will never touch again (I have a couple of those already, but 3 out of 145 ain't too shabby so far), and the stupid regional restrictions you gys have to put up with, but that's the publishers decision, not Valve's. =(
Otherwise, I only buy games there when they go on sale/weekend deals.

Problem is that your returning a download which has no value to the developer. hen you trade in a game to GameStop your giving them a physical item of which only a certain amount exist.
Plus what if a bunch of people return a game after like 2 years and all of a sudden steam/the developer starts losing money.
I am buying this pack today, it is awesome. :D
I'm not buying FF, because I don't think I'd enjoy it. I did succumb to Splinter Cell (so fucking hard, even on Normal) and I also went with Killing Floor, even though there's no deal for it.
