I was reading the gaming deals thread and thought 'is there not a thread for free games?' which where followed quickly by 'There probably is'. However being very lazy, and decided against searching, I instead started this thread. Here the good people of GoG can come together and share the games which costs no more than the the cost of a download.

I will go first:

OrigamiHero have made some very good freeware titles. I recommend anyone who like some good old school platformers to try "Stargirl and the Thief from the Exploded Moon".

Since it is the first post I will also throw Ballon Diaspora out there. It may be a little short, but an interesting point-and-click adventure with atmosphere in spades.

And of course, you were right. There is Free games thread.

Free games.

and

Don't worry, just let this one quietly die in peace then.
R.I.P :)
This is why you can't make threads like this on this board.... at least one person will condemn & redirect you to a dead as fuck one. I don't really see what the problem with him making this thread is, but asshats will be asshats I suppose.

On a side note... this same logic doesn't apply to want threads.... EVERYBODY will condemn & redirect you to the welcome thread...which they should because people who make want threads are heartless spammers with pitch black souls.
I like free games. I like it when people point them out to me. Thus, I would never condemn anyone for making a new thread to do so, since the forum isn't on my servers. GOG, on the other hand, would probably prefer threads be merged somewhat when possible.

I think you would like it too if there's only one thread to something like this. It's much easier to look through one thread for (in this case) free games than going through 3 or 4 threads which probably contain a bunch of duplicate posts.

Oh, sure, but only if it's an updated one. We need someone to start a new one that's actually going to stay around and stick it out.
I didn't see anyone condemning the thread?

Like those threads don't? I know for a fact they contain duplicate posts because I have actually looked at them... most people (myself included) don't like going into a thread with like 40+ pages & reading through every single post to make sure somebody hasn't mentioned a game before. Truthfully that is why I prefer new threads in a case like this... it makes things easier as you can just see what everybody is into at the moment as opposed to going through a shit ton of pages with hundreds (maybe thousands) of games. It just keeps everything simple.
