Starting right now, all our users can download and play these games, absolutely free.
Both are point-and-click adventure games by Revolution Software. Beneath a Steel Sky places you in the shoes of Robert Foster, the sole survivor of a plane crash in cyberpunk Australia's Outback. Raised in the wasteland, you were forcibly "reintegrated" into the city. Now your plan is to get out. Lure of the Temptress is set in a fantasy world, where you become a peasant named Diermot. After an attempt to bring order to a rebellious town goes wrong, you're flung from your mount and wake up in a dungeon. It is your duty to escape and rid the town of its evil enchantress and her minions.
Beneath a Steel Sky is a game every adventure gamer must play. And everyone else, for that matter. It was free already, but hey - I'm not complaining. :)
I remember Lure of the Temptress as an innovative and interesting title. I'll definitely download it now, and see if I can complete it this time.
Thanks for putting those games up on GOG.com. The wallpapers, avatars and original manuals are a great addition to anyone's collection of good old games. I think adding quality freeware games can only benefit the service and attract new members.
Whoa, BASS comes with additional materials. Absolutely fragtastic! Thanks GOG for another holiday present!
Oh man, this is cool.
To be honest, I'd have no problems paying $3.99 or something like that for those two, but I believe it's better PR that you have them for free. Especially since Revolution's been giving them away for a while now.
That's absolutely fantastic! Thank you very much oh beloved GOG.com. Who'd have thought... Those impressive Virtual Theatre adventures available for free on this loveliest of services. Excellent games!
Oh, and should we hope for some more of Revolution's classics?
Very nice xmas present. Thank you, GOG! :)
I encourage everyone who has yet to play BASS to go do so right now.
Future Cyberpunk/Dystopia style in Australia, and one very good adventure game.

Thanks GOG team fantastic Xmas present BASS is one of my all time fave games
That's great, though I'm not the hugest fan of point-n-click games - BASS might be worth trying though as I see. This offer reminds me that it would be a GREAT idea to put some freeware games on the site - GOG also has great installers, no DRM, and you can download as many times you want, so it wouldn't be bad. To stay on the oldies, that'd mean old games became free - like GTA1, GTA2, One Must Fall 2097, etc..
Very nice GoG team, thanks for the working-out-of-the-box release and the additional content. :)
Can we take it as an hint that we may be able to buy Broken Swords games on gog.com soon? ;)

I really hope so. I've never played any of the Broken Sword games, but from what I hear, they're excellent.
Words fail me. To actually see the BASS comic again after all these years! It was a great touch to this game which I originally played on the Amiga when it first came out. Now I get to read that comic again and dive right back into the game without the fuss of 10+ floppy disks!
Excellent :)
