MrWilli started this "what does it take to be a programmer" thread and I found this site, but since it covers so much more than that... I thought it deserved its own thread.

Quite frankly, this site is brilliant overall but this list in the link given may help many of you out....

Cheers y'all and I know I'm gonna be investigating a few of these links!
Gonna give you a +1 and bump the thread. Good stuff.
I'll bookmark that, could be useful.

Also bonus points for having Yotsuba and Danboru in this image: http://www.marcandangel.com/images/self-educate-yourself.jpg

MIT started this trend with OpenCourseware and I have to say it's one of the best things academia has ever done.
I didn't know anything like this existed (Opencourseware). Thanks for the link!
Yeah thanks for the link. I'm trying to learn C# programming and so far it seems not that hard.

Yea, its great and its not that hard. Plus its being actively developed by Microsoft. Though there are A LOT of classes that need to be learned. :)

Nah, don't be afraid. The more you practice, the easier it will be to know which ones are the most important ones. For anything else, you can check the documentation.

Plus, Visual Studio helps you with your code development too. :)
Wow thanks!
*bumped for 2011*

This is something that should be kept up.
