Hey guys, I was just wondering if you fine citizens of GoG.com could help me with a slight problem ^_^

I'm trying to record a Let's Play for Redneck Rampage but have hit a slight snag.

It records great in OpenGL mode, but the framerate is a bit jumpy. (All other modes have the same problem)

When I play in Overlay the frames are great :D! But... Fraps cant record it T_T.
(Basically it records around 2 seconds of black screen and no more)

Any ideas on why it does this, and how to fix it?
Thanks everyone.
Use DOSBox' own recording functionality?
I'm being a complete moron, where does DOSBox save videos?

I look in the redneck rampage folder and find nothing :(
In the Redneck Rampage directory, there should be a directory called "capture", that's where you'll find the videos.
No such a directory exists unfortunatly :(

Very strange... I'll re install Redneck and see if that helps.

(Also does DosBox record mic input aswell, or should I run audacity for that?)

Thanks for the help guys I appreciate it.
Buy yourself a Hauppauge HD-PVR and forget about software recording, then....

Open the dosboxRR.conf file and find the line starting with captures=. Edit that line so it contains the full path to where you want to video to be placed, eg. captures=C:\Videos.

If you have installed the game in Program Files and run WinVista or Win7, DOSBox doesn't have permission to save the video in the game's directory.

DOSBox doesn't record the mic or sound coming from other applications, only the audio it produces itself.
Unfortunately I found the DosBox recording functionality to be useless with build engine games. The framerate takes a dive to nowhere land.
