TheCheese33: How is Global Agenda? I tried a little bit of the free to play stuff, but it just wasn't grabbing me. Add that to the distasteful newsletter they sent out to try and wring purchases out of APB owners, and I can't say I'm excited for another game from them.
Global Agenda is alright. It has its quirks a bit, but it can still be fairly enjoyable. As I mentioned before, it is essentially a more futuristic TF2 with some fun changes (jetpacks, class skills, seasonal clan warfare, etc). The only downside is the first 10 levels are spent doing PvE style missions, to help ease the user in to learning their class and becoming familiar with the game. That part can be a little dull if you are like me, someone who wants to get right into the action.
As for APB, I must have personally missed something there. I know they reached out to APB players, but the
email I saw was pretty nice by praising APB, and simply offering a discount to people who had just lost access to a game.
In regards to Tribes Universe, they seem to have a good grasp of what is needed to make it happen. I only hope they are able to follow through, and it does not end up being some terrible mess that seals the fate of Tribes for good. Can't wait till early next year to hopefully begin seeing some gameplay footage when it goes into alpha testing.
