A rip is also on the Internet archive. Also, I've got the dvds(R's, ISOs.. they keep vanishing off the Internet). The quality is meh, but they include a few scenes that didn't make it into the movie cut.

The quality of the rip isn't spectacular. I mean, this is what the DVD edition looks like

Thanks for the link. Interesting that someone made this.

But the actual game with the fan made patches and anti-aliasing forced on looks a lot better.
Well I'm lucky enough to have the original game, this is just something nice to stick in the box with it :)

Me too!
Over the years I've made the mistake of getting rid of a lot of old games. I wish I could go back and get them all. But I never could part with Anachronox. I will always love this game. One of my favorites.

Do you really mean 'fan made' or are you referring to the two patches made by one of the former devs? If they really are fan made, do you have any links? I only have the patches one of the devs did after Ion Storm disappeared.
Thanks for the heads up. Anachronox is one of my favourite games.

I'm talking about the two bug fix patches which came out later. This tells the whole story here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anachronox
look under Release and Legacy

I'm having a tough time locating the Anachronox Planet site the I got the patches from a long time ago. I'll keep looking and let you know.

edit: one of those patches inproved the textures somehow. I'll look for that later. I have to go now.

edit #2: the files used to be here but I don't see them.

Yes! You got them. Great.
I was coming in here to say I finally found the FilePlanet files. But you have the links put together nicely on your site. Nicely done. Thank you.
I have the files burned to a cd somewhere but now I don't have to look for it:-)
Just to followup on what I stated before...
It would be more accurate to call the 3 last patches "unofficial patches."
v1.02 build 44 & v1.02 build 45 were made by a former Ion Storm team member in his spare time after they were laid off by Eidos.
But v1.02 build 46 was a true fan-made patch.
v1.01 was the only official patch as far as I know.

Not sure, but I think build 44 was the one that made the textures appear better as if they were higher resolution.

Thanks for the replys!

Yeah - 44 & 45 were the ones I was referring to. I didn't know about 46. I should be able to locate that without too much trouble. Cheers!
