Somewhere around 2002, Multigame released the two working prototype versions of Tempest, called Aliens Vector and Vortex.

I've tried so search for proper screenshots and video of these prototypes in action, but no luck. The reason I'm asking, is because in an interview with Dave Theurer for the Atari Collection volme 1, he describes an early version of the game in the 1:18 mark of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41TbGi7u598&feature=related
I quote: "At first I had the levels rotate, so you'd turn the knob and the cylinder would rotate with all the creatures on the cylinder rotating with the cylinder. And it was making people nauseous, which is not a good thing."
I want to know if either one of those versions is the one described in the interview. Here's where I want proper footage of the games coming with the Multigame release.
The description bares an uncanny resemblance to some versions of the urban legend about the Polybius game. If the Multigame indeed contains this early version of the game, we might have uncovered the origin of the legend.
