I have wanted SimCity 4 since I saw it at my brother's house. I played 2000 back in the day and had a lot of fun with it. I decided that $8 was a good deal for DRM free version of SC4 and the added bonus of capitalism 1 and 2 and SimCity 2000. I may end up giving away the other games from the bundle, but I wanted to get other people's opinion of the capitalism games.
greta games but my cities always ended up brankrupt sooner or later
or stalled in growth

I haven't run into any issues with GOG's version so I presume that they did.
It's the best city builder out there, still!

Play it a while, get used to it, and then add some mods that fix the transportation simulation, like NAM.

hmm good to know

though generally i prefer to be closer to the simulated people like with the sims 2
Last version of SimCity i played was 2000 back in... 96-97? Back when everything was 2000 and 3000 and 4000 and lots of other thousand buzzwords to keep things fresh...
Quite troubling that they would damage your car, just to get you to buy a game.
As for Capitalism... You'll have to try it. It's very hit-or-miss. I enjoy it, but only for short time. It can be VERY difficult to get your supply chain up and going. And, sometimes, you just lose your source of a key resource and EVERYTHING you have quickly goes down the drain if you don't notice it yet.

I bet the game would be a lot more fun to me, pretty much as it is, but with a more modern UI.
shame on you
