Thanks Virama, gonna try that again tomorrow. Hopefully without the stench of burnt meat from the kitchen. (Even with the cold I could smell that... ^^)

The honey-garlic...hmm. Sounds tough, I'm going with ranguns hot milk with honey.

And thanks again for the tipps, I really appreciate the input.

(While typing that I sneezed on my monitor. Urks.
Best way to stay in shape in your situation op:

1: Raw garlic - Maybe not that tasty but this is the most effective and quickest method to get rid of anything nasty you may have
2: Onions, especially red ones - in a sandwich or dishes, raw onions help greatly
3: Lemons - Put them in anything you can, drinks, teas, or just about anything

there you go :)

My pleasure. The honey-garlic really does work though. That milk with honey... I have SERIOUS reservations about that as milk is pretty much the number one source of snot build up and that you DO NOT want with a cold.

Just one thing to consider: Lemon is one of the best things for stripping the enamel off your teeth. And you can NEVER regenerate that. So, be careful. Yes, it is good. But it DOES fuck your teeth up quick-smart. I've started to try and make the hot drink a little cooler with a bit of cold water and gulp the whole thing down as fast as I can...
A friend of mine always says that a small cup of some very strong alcohol (with honey maybe) heated up as much as possible (just keep in mind you'll have to drink it) would cure all her coughing and throat problems. I guess it's worth a try if you have some strong alcohol at hand...
I never tried it so I can make no guarantees...
Onions contain a lot of useful stuff actually. They're not a cure when you do get ill, but they can certainly help you stay fresh. There's lots of C-vitamin, some calcium, folic acid, and there's no fat and very few carbohydrates. They're also dirt cheap and go well with just about everything.

Everybody should eat more onions. Except the french.

I've tested this since childhood so many times I can't even remember and did wonders to my cold :) It's kind of grandma's recipe :)
@Virama

Chicken soup is boiling right now, and it smells awesome. I can't believe I never ate chicken soup in my life, my friends stared at me in disbelieve when I told them I'm going to cook chicken soup for the first time. Thanks again for the recipie!

michaelleung: Wait, what?

puxili: Sage? That doesn't sound healthy.

And about the chicken soup... I tried to make some but failed miserably. How difficult can making chicken soup be? I hate my cooking skills XD

Green Tea seems to be helping, japanese Ooi Ocha feels pretty good. I also tried taking some anti-cold medications from the drug store, but all they do is ruining my my stomach.
Its perfectly fine. The Native Americans would use in in purifying rituals, and to get rid of evil spirits. If you put it in tea it will help sore throats if you don't want to smoke it, but smoking it will definitely clear up your sinuses. It has a menthol quality.

You can look it up if you don't trust me.
Add some lemon juice to water, throw in a small chile pepper, boil it and inhale the vapour. Cleans those sinuses right up.
Tea also rocks and so does chicken broth.
