I will also add that as much as a part of me wishes that I had stayed out of this, that lugum's behaviour speaks volumes about who he is and that I requested that he be banned from posting or PMing on this site. I wrote to GOG about it and haven't received a reply. lugum is friendly with the GOG staff - he was the one who requested that the Ninja Giveaway thread be locked and they complied. He was caught torrenting GOG games and his punishment was to be banned for a year. During that time he continued leeching as best he could here. I mean seriously, who does that?

He mentions in his rebuke to my request that he be banned(as posted by Spinorial above) that there is no such thing as a permanent ban because he can create another account. I will say that if that were to happen, I could sniff him out again and won't go into details of how but they are legal.

I suggested that if others agree that his privileges here should be removed that they also message JudasIscariot, the GOG community manager.

If no reply is received and others do not wish to write, then the next step to escalate this would be to create a wishlist to have him removed and vote on it, keep an eye on him and mention this thread everytime he posts something that is related to giveaways. If there weren't giveaways he wouldn't be here, that much is very obvious. He will skulk for now and be back. He has been doing this for years.

apehater: yes but i asked what he exactly does, if its possible to know these details without being in the group?

which giveaway was faked,

how it was proofed that it is fake,

a quote of the text where lugum was abusive?
He was temporarily banned by Steamgifts.com as can be seen here

A ban from Steamgifts.com results in:

"Rule #12: Each time you are removed from the group temporarily for any of the above rule break, a cool down period is applied , only after which you can re-apply for the group and rejoin.1st kick - 1 month 2nd- 3 months 3rd - 6 months 4th- Banned forever"

In typical lugum fashion, he argued non-stop and hassled people via PM as he couldn't handle the thought of being banned for 1 month from a group where he has access to free stuff and was thus permanently banned from the group.

can you post some typical lugum fashion pms?

if you want to stop this, then you should post the pms of lugum,
so people can see, understand and resist this behavior

my english is maybe not good,

i meant if you see more detailed how lugum acts, then this helps new people, if they get pm'd the same way, to resist.

No I shouldn't and don't feel comfortable doing so as there is already plenty of evidence in the links provided, especially from teshra.

This thread perfectly exemplifies his motives on these forums as it was during the period where he went from being banned to unbanned.

Notice how many of the people who were PMd by lugum are generous gifters on these forums, those who he always tried to keep on side. When his ban was lifted he replied with:

"This giveaway was a little "selfish" as someone else was doing a contest over that same picture in which one could win a lottery ticket. So i thought maybe someone here knew in which i give them 2 games in return (regardless if i would win or not).
I would have never guessed it as it was quite hard and someone on twitter beat me to it, however i still won 1 ticket through facebook. Downside is i won nothing on the ticket in the end. :p" as can be seen here.

The games he gives away all come from competitions or other people. Notice that every game on the list came from this bundle.

Notice that the reason for his ban is never mentioned in public, and when it came out recently that it was due to him uploading GOG games to torrent sites. I just did a quick search then and found that(or some) evidence of him doing so. He said to me that he has learned from his mistake but also said at the same time that the reason he was caught was due to "recklessly" using the same user name. Given what I know of him, I would say that what he learned from the experience was to change his user name.

Why he was able to PM when banned is beyond me. If anything being confined to PM worked to his advantage.

Lets just leave this alone for the time being now. In the meantime, I'm sure lugum will be online lurking about looking for key drops and taking them silently. I wish I could believe he's able to resist but finding free games seems to be more important to him than actually playing the 750+ games he has collected for free over the last few years.
So yah, lets consider him knocked out for this round and come out with the torches and pitchforks in the future if need be.

Also, apehater, perhaps its time to include you in this fight royale. You've been brought up by others as resorting to shenanigans and leecher behavior. Two examples I know of are in the Open This Thread and in the Known Scammers thread. Not a good place to become known about in the GOG community you know.
Today, you again took an xcom game which was the original reason people began to speak out on you.

It is the height of hubris to continue to do the same thing over and over again you know.
And your questions in this thread regarding lugum are odd. For one, you can easily find the answer to every question you asked just following the links that have been provided. Your sudden pointed interest in all this, why?

Anyways, for some reason I've not been able to post links since yesterday. I don't get it. So if it matters, and this "fight" goes anywhere, someone provide links please regarding apehater in the two threads I mentioned.

In the meantime, my eyes need to go recover from the image of Tarnicus's wresting outfit from post 44 in this thread. I saw that and I ran as far and as fast as I could to get away. Eep!

Tarnicus: [...]

Unfortunately, the forum and PM privileges are separate as I discovered a good while ago in relation to a very well known scammer on this board. I interpret a ban, even a temporary one, as a measure of preventing a banned member from interacting with the rest of the community, and would expect PM privileges to be automatically restricted to only GOG staffers in such cases. So yes, it doesn't make any sense to me either that it works this way, but I never heard back from GOG when I contacted them about it and sharied my thoughts, apparently GOG thinks otherwise on the matter.
