Azrael360: Just to answer the original question, I use those 3 DRMs (Steam, Uplay, Origin) and Far Cry 3 is better using Uplay only. The Steam version requires both Uplay and Steam clients running, but Steam doesn't track the game unless you have the Community In-Game enabled (time played), plus other annoyances (checking the integrity of the files re-download many files already "CRC" okay, if you have net issues with Steam you can't load the game with Uplay, etc...). As for Origin, it sucks. That client doesn't uninstall properly the games (leave most of the files anyway), you can't backup the installers (even with the option enabled. The installers are deleted anyway. That option is a disabled leftover from an old update from a year ago that never was removed from the interface), the client is very invasive in the system, has a very poor GUI and keeps forgetting the login credentials even with the option to "remember". It's hardly the true, but it is, Uplay is better than Origin... (but that's just my humble opinion :P)

Yes, I know. With Uplay you have to download the game and install it, then the patches and apply them, and then the DLCs and install them and then activate them with their Uplay codes in the game, but it's exactly the same as installing from retail discs, so... not a big deal. And you can backup those installers for later use.

Elmofongo: So far I have not had a problem with Origin. Besides all I want is to play Single Player.

Is having 2 clients really that bad in its influance on Gameplay even in this game as it is now, have you ever played Far Cry 3 on Steam to see for yourself how bad the other Uplay is? I play Everquest 2 on Steam and it is running on 2 clients technically and the game runs fine. (Too bad I could not set it back to full screen because I alt tab, big mistake.)
I never care about multiplayer. I buy games for the single player campaigns. And I have only one Steam+Uplay game, and it will be the only and the last because of all the issues I mentioned before: Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. All my others Uplay games are only for Uplay and for me this is much better. Never got an issue again for the rest of my Uplay games using the Uplay client, and never going back to have two required clients opened at the same time.

Also, I checked the Far Cry 3 Steam forums during the past sale on Steam (I was tempted for a second), but they have the same issues as Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon on Steam, so I'm going to get it later for Uplay only.
