I tried to change settings and looking for mods but without any solid result. The best I can do now is set Kill Cam to None which means that killing outside of VATS system doesn't trigger slow motion scenes. Hm, I guess I will eventually play it as 'run&gun' Fallout 3 again. Shame.

I've only been able to try out the Less Intrusive Kill Camera that Siannah suggested for a couple of minutes yesterday, and so far the kill cam still happened, but it moved from first person to third, while I was still able to see what's going on... so that's good.

I'll also try the second one and will test them both today, hopefully it will get better...

but I still don't understand why such obviously stupid concept can't be turned off :)

keeveek: I wonder why people go into so much trouble into making a game they don't like into a game they might like. There are so many other games... I couldn't put up with Fallout 3 and NV, so I uninstalled them the fuck away forever and went to play something else instead.
Because they might like certain aspects of those games which you can't find in any other game.

misfire200: Actually, only about 5-6 mods are weapons/armor related.
Which is why I mentioned "whatever mods in the same category", as these are the most likely to interfere with each other. :)=

misfire200: Also I avoid the workshop now...
Now THAT explains a lot. :p

yep avoid the workshop=) great idea but does not work well with a ton of mods
Have you tried using Project Nevada's bullet-time feature instead of VATS? It also uses AP and should therefore not imbalance the game much and since Project Nevada is entirely modular you can turn off anything else to keep the game otherwise vanilla.

I didn't but I will as soon as I have a chance, thanks for the tip!

Yeah Project Nevada makes the game much more enjoyable by being able to tailor the game to your taste.
