I played it at release, it was OK, if it is now fully F2P (it was in the proccess of becoming F2P last i looked) then I may have another look.
So far it looks like it has a tier system f2p, and 3 different levels of Premium Subscriptions.

thanks, i remembered i bought it on steam at release so started the download from there, it got to 1.8 GB downloaded and then went back to 3.5 MB
steam finally downloaded it and of course it needed to update again.

Right now it has down loaded 770MB of a 680MB update with an ETA of 0 and nothing left to download....

So why is it still downloading
Does anyone want to start a guild?

Im giving the game a try again but its basically the same as when I got it on release, so i dunno if it will hold my interest
if anyone is looking at playing Fallen Earth now its F2P I would STRONGLY advise waiting a week or 2, it simply cannot handle the influx of new players at the moment,

Seems to be a problem for most F2P games taht suddenly go Steam or get mentioned by top viewed blogs/review sites. Seen the same thing with Rise of the Immortals, Stellar Impact and heck even big names like League of Legends had problems. Normally takes them a couple of weeks to organise and setup additional/better servers to support the new player base size
It's all skill based, not class based. You can craft nearly everything, therefore resulting in a player economy, and mounts can leave you (Park a car somewhere, forget it, gets destroyed, SOL).

Not bad really. Plus 1st person combat. :)
