Huge F1 fan. Was a Schumacher fan when his career win total was 1 (won record 91). Now I cheer for Vettel though I get up to watch the races to see what old man Schumi has left up his sleeve in that dog of a car.

I thought about F1 2011 but I would struggle to run it. I do have Grand Prix Challenge on PS2. 2002 rosters and constant 60fps no matter what which was a huge feat especially considering the graphics were not neutered to make it happen either.

However, best F1 game is Grand Prix II.

I played F1 2010 and thought it was very good, definitely the best F1 game in years. I wish they wouldn't do the same yearly iteration thing as other sports games, though. I really don't think a racing game needs annual updates, so I refuse to buy F1 2011. I'm holding out for F1 2012, which I assume they are going to make since the games seem to be doing pretty well so far.

F1 2011 great game, good step forward after 10. Engine sounds, tracks layouts simply great. Some minor issues of ofcourse, but enjoing the game greatly. But still driving and gameplay wise i a bit prefer f1 championship 2006 on ps3.
And i wish there will be a new manager at some point. When was the last one? 2001 from EA? And I still playing immortal grand prix manager 2 by Grabowski=)

In that year
Body shape rules added
New wings introduced
KERS introduced
Engine size changed
Wheels changed
Teams have changed
Drivers have moved around
Tracks have changed
Tyre usage rules changed
...

Yeah no reason at all to do an update...

No offense but aside from Kers, none of those rules would affect the virtual driving experience.

However, I'm all for a new game every year like EA used to do when they had the license.

I'm not such a big fan of Formula 1 now since Vettel keeps winning pratically every single race and it gets pretty boring seeing the exact same people on the podium each time. Personal Preference i would rather see all cars very close in specs so it comes down to the Driver rather than what Car you are driving.

As for the game...It doesn't use GFWL or any of that nonsense this time right? I will probably wait till it's something like £9.99 since i don't have a lot of cash atm.

GFWL required for multiplayer just like last year.

Actually the tyre and wing rules will change the virtual driving experience too.

Oh dear, i won't be picking this up for even $0.01 then.

wodmarach: snip
To me, none of these changes justify buying a new full-priced game when I have the one from the previous year already. I'm not saying they shouldn't do an update, but releasing a new game every year is hardly necessary. Why not just make F1 2012, implement both the 2011 and 2012 changes in that game and let us choose which season to play? Releasing too many games over a short period of time has killed a number of initially successful franchises like Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk or UFC Undisputed.

I suppose they probably automate the DRS part as to not overwhelm the player. However, the two tire compound usage rule was in effect last year so no, that doesn't change from 2010 to 2011.

DRS on button actually with special zones in race and all around in qualy and practices. Really good and fun addition. Tyres very well done too, super soft in Monaco was gone in 8 laps, good difference in handlings between compounts too. I disliked f1 10, wish i didnt buy it, but this game is much much better.

That sounds pretty sweet. Wish there was a demo.
