Believe me, I thought about this hard. Deliberate edit is very severe offence but I considered that he is new player and that he edited it only 1 minute after posting and I as mod decided to give him one more chance.

I realise now that it looks a bit like I was trying to suggest to you that you should have killed him, but this wasn't intentional. My post was meant to explain just how serious that kind of edit is.

Well the fact that the post is still full of bad spelling suggests that it was something else you edited out. I'll ask again because it was easy to miss in the previous post:

What exactly was the typo that was so bad that you just had to go and edit it and was so bad that you didn't notice or think to correct any of the other typos? Did you perhaps accidentally spell one word as a completely different word?

I think it's probably a good idea to start defending yourself properly, because at the moment I can't see any justification for your actions other than editing out a slip up.

TwisterBE's defensiveness over his edit instead of some measure of penitent attitude gives me pause.

What is the general attitude of the innocent versus the guilty??

I can understand an "I don't have to explain myself" attitude for general statements. But this seems out of the ordinary.

This was a crime, so to speak, and the response was a reaction. A defensive reaction and I'm leaving my vote where it is while my brain waits for coffee.

The problem with editing is we will never know what was actually edited out. You say it was a typo. And yet typos are still in the sentence.

What if it was actually the wording of your sentence which was edited?? What if instead of saying "I never suspected NoX0ss." You said something like I knew N0x0ss wasn't mafia.

The editing of a post brings your credibility into question. How is it different than lying??

Not going to say it's a noble pursuit, or even the right move to make, but I have a few thoughts just on this one thing.

Most of us make typos. Let's face that first fact right off the bat, we make typing mistakes, poor grammar, typos, lack of punctuation or capitalization, it all happens when push comes to shove. And I said in my last post, I've pretty much run into them enough that I barely NOTICE them unless they're really bad. By now, we're all accustomed to dealing with them to the point of shrugging our shoulders and saying they happen.

I can understand being defensive if pushed too much on it after a more relaxed comment, but it sorta felt like he was defensive off the bat and didn't see why we're looking at this. There's also the fact that there's at least one odd typo there.

There's no contradictions in that post, but the "wan't" doesn't even need the apostrophe that it has. It's an out of the way keystroke, and it's an odd one to not notice.

It makes more sense to me that he said something that incriminated a scum buddy or two, and decided that it was easier to risk the modkill than to leave the person out in the open. I don't know, I kinda think that might be the only explanation there is. I don't know why I can't see it as an innocent mistake as easily, but I can't.

Twister, how about you give us a claim?

Maybe a bit stupid, but how could he have found one typo so important and distracting that he just had to edit (even if he completely forgot the rule) and leave such beauties as "voted for him so save my ass" and "wan't"?

Still, 'So save my ass!' might be an expression like 'So help me god!'

He was on L-2 and we have 3 days, it's not that short... I'd prefer if we got a claim from him or at least some proper defence before you leave him so close to speed lynch. The fact that he's not really defended himself properly doesn't help his case though... I've now asked twice for what the typo he edited was and he hasn't even bothered to make anything up!
