I was trying to get my new cd keys to work but I cant seem to extract the link in the email to where it wants it or I just dont know what im doing...anyone who can help me?
I am trying very hard to understand what problem you're having and I'm just creating a million of my own.

Explain, fully, in detail, from step one what you are trying to do and what's happening instead.
Ok I downloaded nwn again and bought it again but i havent got the new cd keys yet so im trying to use my old ones from my old computer but I cant seem to change the cd keys everytime i try to just delete the old ones and put in the new ones it wont let me so I went to the original email and it has the download for them and says i have to extract the download and replace it with my nwn. ini folder but i cant figure out how to do that either

Have you asked Support for help?

Just a quick heads up, though I already reported it in the Bugs 2.0 thread, the "Contact Us -> Technical Issues with Games" link is broken atm, at least for me using IE 9.x and Chrome 20.x

Oh, peachy. I'll get dev to work on that immediately.

Hm. Works for me in Chrome 20.0.1132.57 in Mac, as well as FF, Safari, Chrome Mobile, and FF mobile.

I assume you've tried all of the "refresh your cache" nonsense to fix that?

I did, and I did re-try it before posting it here. So, a small/quick recap.
I wanted to ask for a Sacred cd-key, so I went to the support page, then Sacred, then this page. I clicked the link on the bottom, which should take me to http://www.gog.com/en/support/contact/technical_issues_with_games/, but it keeps redirecting me to http://www.gog.com/en/support.
Same thing also happened with FF 14.x (which I haven't used to visit GOG.com yet), so I think I'll blame the gremlins again. They probably hate me for calling them slow the other day :P

Ah. Have you tried selecting a game, and then (over on the right in tiny text) clicking on "I can't find a solution for my problem)?

And the server gnomes? They hold grudges.
I don't know at the moment how the files are compressed (I guess rar), but you can try some other compression tools to unpack it, as example 7z. You can also use it to check if the files is broken, in that case you should contact support again to get new files.

Edit 1: As far as I remember you need to extract the files in your main game folder.
Edit 2: Checked my mails. In my case it was a zip-file called nwncdkey.zip. Inside there is an ini-file with the keys which you need to copy into your game folder. If you can't open that file (as described my try another compression tool like 7z) the file is maybe broken and you should contact the support again. You need to download also another file from your game bonus content (the premium modul), which you need to install after you copied the .ini file into your game folder.

Edit3: Oh yes, and regarding the permission to overwrite the ini file, don't install the game to the usual program folder. That's maybe the reason you can't overwrite the .ini file easily. While installation choose another folder, as example c:\games\nwn and you should have no problem. That's btw recommended for every game running on Vista or Windows 7.

This way it works, so I guess the game title is required (and parsed automatically from the url). As I said, no biggy, was thinking whether I should ask for the cd-keys, or wait for the automatic system. I think I'll wait, no hurry.

Especially if one calls them gremlins instead of gnomes? ;)
