I just got a copy after having had to wait a week for the USPS to finally get me a copy from Blockbuster.

My question is simply, is the BS starting ridiculousness worth persevering through, or does it continue to take cheap shots with the camera and nearly impossible jumps to complete sections?

I'm a bit annoyed because I've destroyed the first machine and no matter how many times I try to make the leap that I'm supposed to make, I always miss it and end up falling to the side.
Let's see, the developer said people were "playing it wrong" and "didn't get it" which is usually a dead giveaway for a bad game. Reviews were poor and reports of shitty camera issues and falling to your death due to said camera issues abound.

As well the story was panned in reviews.

So no, I'd send it back, too many good games to play.

I had a feeling, I've just never played a game where I had to give up that quickly. But, I did try hard, it's just really, really hard to place the character in the X-Z plane while the camera is moving and that initial boss is trying to smack me.

I was mostly looking for some way of rationalizing giving up this quickly. Conceptually it looks like an interesting game, but if I can't even make the first jump after having made 30 or 40 attempts at it, I can't imagine it getting any better.

Hard games are fine, but I think you're right, at some point it gets to be unreasonable.
