Looks decent, but does the entire game have that same background texture?

Probably vote for it instead here.

To be fair, the trailer and official site aren't very detailed about anything. The trailer does show only 2 types of enemies (3 if you count a skeleton with a bow as a separate type) and always the same-looking rooms. The site also says it's "70+ rooms", so if each takes less than 2 minutes to beat, it's a game to be finished within 2-3 hours.

What sparked my interest was the cool combat system with good retro graphics. Gods know we need more games where what it takes to win a battle is NOT clicking insanely at everything and nothing. I'm hoping the rest stands on its own, I'm in for the sword and shield.

Oh and, well, it's indie DRM-free for Windows, so why not give it a shot?

Yeah, it definitely has potential. It reminds me of the 2D Castlevania games.
Very reminiscent of Castlevania! 'Voted!
It's an indie platformer with pixel art AND RPG elements? That's like hitting the trifecta of indie games, why hasn't GOG dropped ALL negotiations for classics to get this?

My first thought was Pitfall (which shows my age) in a D&D-ish environment.
Looks a bit tedious and ugly. Don't we have heaps of games like it already?!
Looks good, but it better be a whole lot tougher than what's shown in the video. I don't mind if the game's like an hour long, but if you've beaten it an hour after picking it up for the first time, something is wrong.

The GOG trifecta of indie games is "heartwarming" "puzzle platformer" "with a unique twist." This doesn't appear to be any of those things, so it's probably a low priority.

Actually here's a platformer that apparently has puzzles and the twist is in the combat system.

I agree it's a classic indie game look-alike, but people should blame it on indie devs, not GOG.

Well in that case, I guess GOG had better get it!

Seriously though, the game does look fun... and apparently, I was wrong about the difficulty. You get four lives to beat the game, and when you die, you lose your equipment upgrades. Lose your last life and it's back to the beginning.

Beating 70 rooms sounds like a cake walk, but beating them all with only four lives is a different story. NOW I MUST HAVE IT.
