Sinizine: It's sort of like Prey 2. Why even call it that when the game is so different? Game didn't sell that well, had middling critical and fan reaction. Who are they hoping to drag into their audiences when they do these things?

Maybe Sid Meier will take on Syndicate and do a "proper" remake after he finishes his X-Com game? Sid (although he has had his own share of fan hate in the past) knows that you don't mess with a classic game's fundamental mechanics. If it's not broke to begin with, why fix it? Just improve and expand on what went before and if you do decide to bring in something new, make sure it does not conflict with what made the original game great in the first place.

In development. Looks literally nothing like Prey except you shoot guns and there are some aliens. Don't get me wrong, it looks actually pretty good, I just find it mind boggling anyone would want to tie themselves down to that franchise if they weren't going to keep it similar.
