Functionally it might as well be, the web browser is a nice idea and all but its really kinda crap unless you're looking at a lot of pure text pages
You might be right about that. I don't have a 3G ereader to try with. I'm not sure about Kindle, but Nook comes with free wifi at any starbucks, plus in any B&N store location.

But really, at this point in time, the web browser seems to be pretty limited in terms of actual utility. I suppose you could use it to download ebooks or possibly read email, but I wouldn't use it for browsing the web.

On Kindle, is there a way to alter text size on a per-eBook basis?
