Just checked out the new wishlist for movies and I noticed there are already many duplicates in there ( some popular movies have been requested three or five times and more already ). People really need to do a quick search before they add a new wish of their own, especially when it's for a very popular film or game. But since the majority are apparently too lazy ( *cough* or dumb *cough ) perhaps it's up to GOG to add in some sort of feature to avoid these duplicates? Right now they just turn the wishlist into a giant inefficient mess.

On a related note, in your opinion, what kind of genres should GOG focus on? We can probably forget about the latest blockbusters for now. Personally I'd like to see very old or mostly unknown movies, which are hard to find on DVD. That includes many TV productions. Also in general smaller "low budget" productions seem more realistic and potentially interesting. Any thoughts?

When you create a new wish on the list, similarly-named wishes pop up and you are asked to click a button confirming that the wish you are about to add is not a duplicate before you are allowed to add your wish. I suspect that it's not perfect and some titles are not considered similar enough for this check which is why there are so many duplicates.

And GOG has mentioned here that they intend to focus on classics and films that are scarcely available nowadays.

Ah, I was wondering if anything like that already existed. ( Have yet to add a wishlist item of my own. ) Well, seems like many people are ignoring this feature, and keep posting duplicates anyway. :/
