So, steam has it -50%, that makes it ~25€

Is it worth it?

I liked the second Dungeon Siege pretty much, never played the first..
IMHO, no.

If you liked DS2 and expect DS3 to be similar you will be disappointed, it's a pretty bad DS sequel, (even thought the originals DS games never were "classical" or masterpiece or anything to begin with) and even on it's own right it remain a pretty average game.

i bought it more for DS1 & 2 and hae 3 for a distraction. I quite enjoyed the first 2 games and i think the 17.50 is worth the 2 games.
No it isn't, save your money for other games. Even if you liked DS1 and DS2, you won't be satisfied if you play DS3.
DS3 it to DS 1 + 2 what Arcania is to Gothic. Shit

and steams 50% off is not great. I can get it on the highstreet for £14.99 new. non sale price.
I liked DS 1 and 2 pretty well.

DS3... not so much. I rented it for PS3, played for like 2 hours, and said to hell with it.

It's just not fun... I don't know what's missing but the whole thing just feels like crap all around. It's absolutely not worth $25 (or €25 which is even worse), maybe if it was $5 I'd think about it but I'd probably still pass.

But hey - there's a demo, why don't you try that out?
It's a passable hack and slash, action RPG. Amazon.com has the console version on sale this week, and I heard Steam has it on sale as well.

It's not like other DS games, but since I thought those other ones were ass I didn't mind. It's fun enough, I paid 35 USD for my XBox 360 copy and kind of wish I'd waited for cheaper, but I'll simply trade someone for a different game to make up the difference.

If you have a console available you could rent it once or twice for 10 bucks and get everything you wanted out of it. I expect the PC version is prettier (though I don't know for sure) but on the 360, at least, it didn't look like horrible ass or anything, and there's nothing in the controls that was hard. If the PC version has more camera angles it might be worth playing that version (the lower camera angle on console is nearly worthless).

The demo is pretty representative of the whole gameplay experience, so this is good advice.

I was quite disappointed with it, eg. you cant switch characters, you have to play the whole campaign with the character you started with, its quite different from DS1 and 2.
I think the point is that it is not only DS3 - for £17.50 you get all three games. In this case you can see it as getting DS I and DS II for ~ £9 each with DS III as a bonus.
I enjoyed it. It's short though (around 10-13 hours). But hey, 16 possible endings Fallout style. I'm playing through it again (as the mage Kenny Rogers) since there's supposed to be DLC coming out. Not sure I would recommend buying it for DS 1 and 2 in particular as those games on Steam don't include the expansions last I checked.

You can switch out your partner, though.

LOL Kenny Rogers is exactly what I thought! :)
It has the same problem I have had with all the Siege games - it's just not fun. It's worth noting that I have only played the demo (something I recommend you do before splashing out), but it seemed pretty conclusive to me.
