I've been following the trailers for Dungeon Siege 3 for a couple of months now and I'm REALLY interested in owning the first and second Dungeon Sieges. Seeing as how successful Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 has done on GOG.com is it possible to see D.S. 1 & 2 on GOG.com as well?

Games for Microsoft anyone?

Seriously, I doubt it. Microsoft wants to keep its intellectual property up its arse. But that WOULD be a coup... Personally I found the original DS more fun than DS2.

Actually, Take Two acquired the publishing rights (according to wiki), and Square-Enix is publishing the upcoming third game. Doesn't seem like MS has any hold left on the rights to the games.

Microsoft published and owns many games that will never see the light of day again

Anyone remember Deadly Tide on the PC? man, that game was awesome....
Dungeon Siege 1 has the most epic, and I mean most epic song when you begin your journey.
Dungeon Siege 2 with Broken lands was amazing... but it takes forever to play though... were talking Titans Quest length...

DS1 is ok but it lacks the fun and polish of its counterpart... besides i love feeding my pets and having a living rhino dinosaur thing tearing up everything in its path! Not to mention the Dark Fairy she is awesome to play with...
Whilst I played it years ago I thought it was great that if you weren't keeping track of all the tasks you need to do you can walk straight past the end of a quest, not complete it and relise 3-4 hours later.
Agreed. I thought the game overall was a solid B-grade but that theme is one of my favorite game themes of all time (and bonus points for enabling us to have the magnificence that is Lazarus.)

Only good thing about DS1 is, that the fans of Ultima did those two remakes, Ultima 5 and 6 on it. Too bad, that the engine isn't the best possible solution on games of that scale and too suffer a bit because of that, despite the fan groups did far better job than most commercial developers.

You know, I'm the first to hate MS when they deserve it but this isn't exactly fair. They just put MW4 out for free and when they shut their Allegiance MMO down the open sourced it to the community (server code too). I'm not aware of any MMO that has done that.

As for DS, I'd buy it, but I never bought them when they came out as the demo nearly played itself.

Thats DS. You move forward, you move backward and press the 'H' key or 'M' as needed and never get to develop you character beyond which weapon or spell you use to kill things with. That said i did play it for a long old while before i left it alone and spent more time with it than with the sequel.
