The world in the game is massive and there are a lot different character types you can play as if you get the Gold edition.
But it's mostly running around clicking on and killing hordes in mass quantities to collect the items and equipment they drop.
If you're going for Sacrifice I would highly suggest going for Sacrifice 2 Gold because the first one is just bland enough to get old after about six hours and having only 6% of the world map explored.
Sacrifice 2 added a lot more to make the game far more interesting HOWEVER when it comes to Sacrifice 2 I would highly suggest purchasing for 360, if you can, because when they ported the game over, although they appeared to have made it shorter, they made it much more control friendly by adding controller support and making it more of a button mash Action RPG than the click-yourself-to-death game it is on PC.
Also, I've finally got the PC version of 2 Gold running, with minimal problems, but it's overall size is about 18 gigs after all patching is done and if you want to see all the graphics on full settings you're going to want to play it on a four core.
I've got Sac 2 Gold running on a single core but it looks horrible and lags a lot.
