I pre-ordered it pretty much the day it went up for pre-order. I'm sucker for dragons though. There is a sort of demo version available in the form of an early alpha build prototype to show what they *could* do. You can find that on the UDK site IIRC (it has a slightly different name and is totally lacking polish, but it still gives a good idea of how good this game *could* be). It was enough to persuade me to order anyhow.
nondeplumage: If you buy on GamersGate, do you have to download anything just to be able to download the game, or is it as easy as it is here on GOG? Because there's like 4-5 games over there that say DRM free and I want them. I
need them.
You download the GamersGate downloader (which is specific to the game you are downloading). All that is there for is to help manage your download and it allows you to pause, stop and resume downloads. It also acts as the launcher for installing the games.
If a game is listed as DRM then it has no DRM on the game. However, the GamersGate downloader will need to connect to the internet to confirm that you have purchased the game.
However, during installation if you navigate to the numbered directory within the GamersGate temporary files directory, you should be able to copy the unencrypted setup.exe file to another location. Once installation has been completed, select to keep the temporary files and copy the setup.exe back. Then you can install the game on another PC (one without a net connection for example) without needing to be online.
That does not work for all games though.
Barefoot_Monkey: It looks just like Dungeon Defense, one of the showcase games on the Unreal Dev Kit site.
And that would be the early build prototype I was talking about.
