I hope we will see a Pre-order option soon. Then I can replace Fallout New Vegas with it ;)
Looks very promising, but I'm still hungry for more footage! A demo would be great, hope they'll get one out soon.
Looks like it's possible to pre-order Duke Nukem Forever from a Finnish webstore, konsolinet.fi. According to the site, it's going to be released 1.3.2011. Interestingly, I didn't find an exact release date anywhere else. Some of their guys must be working for Gearbox, or maybe they have fortune-tellers on their payroll. Or some ninjas, at the very least.

When the expected release is "sometime in 2011" a lot of retailers who are eager to get a pre-order up will list it as some random January 2011 release. Amazon does this kind of thing all the time. It's sort of shady, but then since they don't charge you anything to make a pre-order it doesn't really harm anyone.

Yeah that figures, I was mainly speculating with the release date. It's not very likely that a Finnish webstore would have some first-hand information so I was just surprised to see an exact release date on the site.
Randy Pitchford: "The campaign is huge. It's probably three times the size of the last Call Of Duty game. And it's great through and through.

"Any time I play I play it, at any given moment, I'm having a great time and I want to see the next moment. There's crazy set-pieces and, in that regard... if you're expecting this to be a fizzle-out, a low budget thing, you're going to be like: 'Holy shit! Oh my God! This is no joke!'"

"If you're expecting perfect, there's no such thing as perfect. I don't think anything can up to 12 years, but I think it's astonishing how big it is - especially given how it's suddenly here. To people that are on the outside, it [appears to have] come out of nowhere."

I really love Rand Pitchford because he is an honest person. I really like Gearbox's games and this game will be good too.

Anyone can tell how long that is?
Excluding the time the player dies a zillion times, pure gameplay time?
The last Call of Duty had a campaign below 6 hours length, so it's really questionable what we are getting here.
The last few CoDs are 5-6 hours, so I would assume this is like 10-12. I doubt he really means three times.
It's not impossible that it's 15-18 hours long. Bioshock was well in excess of 20 and that had about half of Duke's development time (on and off).
