I thought The World ends With YOu was really overrated

I just read one review and it said it was really good, looked at it and thought "What the fuck" and loved it. I didn't really have any expectations of it - that's probably why.

Overhyped games are inevitably always disappointing. Scribblenauts anyone?

I'm usually the opposite. If I don't really have any interest in a game but then see that it gets high recommendations, if I buy it I usually don't enjoy it as much as anyone else (this happened with MadWorld and Mario Galaxy). But if I'm really interested in a game before it's released, it doesn't matter if it scores low because I'll always love it. TMNT on DS is one of my favourite games for the system, for instance, and it has a metacritic rating of 4.9.
