Gamersgate has a nice sale on the Stalker series. Unfortunately, two of the games seem to use SecuRom/Tages which is a no-go for me. On Steam, only Clear Sky is listed with DRM and that is inert according to the DRM database.
Is there really a difference between these two shops or is it just incomplete information?
Have these games been released DRM free somewhere else?

Pretty sure it was patched out for all of them, though I could be wrong. Someone surely knows for sure.

I can tell you that the French retail release of STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl (which is playable in English) only has a SecuROM disc check.

The retail release of Clear Sky uses a version of Tagès that does not work with Win7.

The retail version of Call of Pripyat uses an odd version of SecuROM. It works with the disc in the drive without activating online, but if you don't want to have the disc in the drive, it will let you activate online with the serial.

The short of it is that 1 and 3 are DRM-free, 2 is DRM-free but has some problematic copy protection.

Not sure if you can have these games shipped to you from Oz though (congratulations on being the first person to hail from a country I had otherwise never heard of before).

Just buy them and use a fix, problem solved. :P

Clear Sky from GamersGate plays absolutely FINE in Win 7. Don't forget to add the Realism MOD to correct some issues with the base release. Stay out of the forests.....
