I have a Big Fish account and it's much like an Impulse account. There's a main client that you use to download with and reinstalling requires reaction through Fish's server so if you're loading it up a decade from now and Big Fish no longer exists, you're out of luck.
However BF's setup is some pretty quality stuff and they definitely blow everyone else away with their prices for these types of games.
The only complaint I have in minor - when you exit a BF game it pops up a BF splash add that you also have exit out of.
As for the popup when closing a game, you can disable that somewhere in the options. I do not have the client installed at the moment to know where it is specifically, but if you click around, you should find a checkbox about disabling that. I found that popup incredibly annoying myself before I changed it.
I am pretty mixed on the service though. Support was very nice and helpful to me, and I was very thankful for that. However, as with Steam, I really hate having to deal with clients attached to my games (albiet this one is slightly less intrusive)
