I was educated in Virginia and i never heard this term during my education. It was never mentioned. I learned of the term over the years in movies and videogames, but i never really knew what it meant.

Until i looked it up in Wikipedia today, I really had no idea. I thought maybe hanging or tied up against the wall and locked away in a dungeon. But the true meaning is very distrubing. I mean to have your dick/balls cut off while you're still alive, disemboweled and then cut up into 4 pieces and hung as display.....I never would have guessed that in a million years.

Thing is, though, back during the early days of 9/11 any number of Americans would have been willing to do the same thing to Bin Laden. Wallace was kinda like that to them. We haven't changed. Humans never change.

No, i haven't seen that movie.

It's quite a good film, watch it. In it, someone has such punishment administered to them.

how about the term brass monkies, for cold weather?

Although it's pretty tamed down, considering how brutal the rest of the film is. The scene is more emotionally effecting than viscerally effecting.

I think if they'd ripped his nuts off and shown them to him, it might have destroyed the mood. There was the epic music going at the time remember?

What threw me off was Quartered. It could me room/shelter/prison of some kind. Today, I decided to stop being ignorant of this term.....LOL.

I'm not sure I'd LOL at that fact.

Consumption would be bad enough, but consumation would indeed be foul.
