twistedpony: Thanks, KOC. Metacritic gave me doubts too but the OXM preview vids, the trailers and the fact that I kept replaying the demo for some reason, even though it seemed less than what I thought it would be made me decide to purchase it. Haven't regretted it. Hope you enjoy it as well.

F1ach: ...higher level people will "rent" your pawn and send it back with top tier equipment.

twistedpony: That's something I haven't thought of. I suppose if you replace their equipment, the owner will still have the original equipment as well?

Great photo. I'm really digging the screen grab feature. Hope to see more games do this.

I hadn't thought about mixing and matching a bunch of vocations. Went linearly from Strider to Magic Archer but my short character is rather envious of the Fighter augment that allows them to carry more. Thanks for the tips.
Your pawn will arrive in the Inn with a message saying their equipment has been changed, do you want to revert to your old stuff or keep wearing the new stuff, if you keep the new stuff the ld gear will be in their inv.

Magick Archer uses magic to govern its damage output, you would be better I think with a Mage/Sorc prior to going MA, I dont think it will make a huge difference in the long run, but if you want to max your potential early, I think you would have a better chance with a Sorc as long as you can stand it, if you are max MA, I would suggest your grind up some sorc skills, then level up as a sorc for a while before switching back to MA later.

But of course you have NG+ as well to tinker with your build so its all good :)
I've been interested in this game. It's on my wishlist for now so I don't forget about it later. But my backlog is huge and I have many games to play before I can rest. I have many games to play before I can rest.

I don't know why I felt the need to get all Robert Frosty.
I just made a huge blunder, so a heads up for anyone that doesnt know this.

I hired two high level pawns, Fighters, because I had spent a lot of time grinding some vocations for me and my main pawn, so I wanted to kill some big mobs for actual XP.

I NEVER CHECKED THEIR INCLINATIONS! So, I basically got two Fighters that wont fight.

So, be careful when hiring pawns, dont just look at their stats, make sure you check their Inclinations.

The Rift interface is pretty shite and it can be quite a chore to navigate, giving you alot of useless information and a small amount of needed information buried in the back screens.

Luckily I had a back up save from an hour previously, so its no big deal for me, but just be careful :)

Anyone still playing this?

I have 4 profiles with characters ranging from 70+ to 90+ and still playing NG+ games.

My favourite character to play is Magick Archer, It's great having access to three weapons (daggers, bow and staff), so you can mix and match in combat, eg. lay down the shackle sigil with daggers, pull enemies into it with Vortex (bow), then nuke them with your staff.

Its cool running with three Sorceror pawns as they will joint cast spells together, reducing the cast time, so say they all cast Maelstrom, you cant see shit through the destruction, but the homing missiles from the Magic Bow will still auto-target.

Musta put about 250 hours into it so far, really enjoying it. :)
