StingingVelvet: Yeah, it's a one time activation on the DLC, same with Mass Effect 2. It's annoying backdoor DRM, but whatareyougonnado? With the Dragon Age DLC you can modify a text file to remove the need for activation, but with ME2 you can't.

Starkrun: would you be willing to part with this knowledge? im not having luck finding it on my own... if this solution works i have zero problems buying the PC pack. But i don't want to chance a wasted purchase when These methods are not confirmed or at least work with all the DLC
Search for Dragon Age here on the GOG forum, someone went into detail about it in one of the other threads. It's just an ini file you have to edit or something.

/Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/Settings. There is an XML file called addins open it with notepad. use the Find function to search for RequiresAuthorization. Any that say 1 change to 0. That's it, DRM gone.
I'm also interested in this "Ultimate Edition". One question though : is it multilanguage ? I'll probably get the UK boxed version, since there does not seem to be any other version sold in France by the main resellers.

If only all publishers could do like CD Projeckt with The Witcher EE, and put all languages with all subtitles in every version...
simple xml edit thats awesome... alright i think its settled, i have no issues getting the Ultimate Box now... thank you all!

Thanks. I think I'll wait a bit then, but I'll probably end up playing the game in english : the ultimate edition seems a much better investment than buying the original game and the extension separately.

Not much more to cover. There should be a Bioware folder in your My Documents. In settings there should be a file called addins open that with notepad.

Yes buy the Digital Version. I really don't have much sympathy for people who complain about a disc check when other Publishers want DNA taken from a rectal probe. It's a disc check, it's the most un-invasive DRM known to man and there is only one way to circumvent it and it's not one I like.

You asked how to remove the disc check I told you buy the digital version. I wasn't kidding it has bugger all DRM. If you want to know how to remove the disc check from a disc version then i'm pretty sure you are smart enough to find it yourself.
