Adzeth: One thing though. I put an armor on a female character, and not a single set I've tried has covered the heart. Is there some lore bit that explains that women have exceptionally thick/durable skin and bones around that area so they don't need to protect it?

doccarnby: I'm not quite certain what you mean. My female elf's armour is pretty damn reasonable. It's a little surprising, sorta.
Admittedly my lady characters can't equip any heavier armor yet, but the chest areas of the ones I've found and tried can be seen in the attached image. The last one is actually a clothing thing, and could be the character's preference (since, you know, everyone wants to be naked in the woods, obviously(?)), but there seems to be a general trend that makes it annoying nonetheless. At least for once there's an armor that actually leaves the male version's chest open too (as shown in attached chasind.jpg).

In every game, women usually have thicker skin.. I don't see the protection but they still can kill me and I'm the main character in full armor.

You think that game developers do that in purpose? No way.

To be fair to Morrigan, she's not supposed to be getting hit with anything. But hey, at least there's some gender equality in the field of impractical armour in this game.

No, Morrigan is supposed to get hit with a stick over her head for constantly rushing towards doom with artificial stupidity on.

In the perfect world, she would never get hit. In this world, you wish they had released that DLC to let you slap her whenever you want, hoping to knock the stupid out of her.

This is why we change behavior from default to ranged.

nope, this is why we turn off artificial stupidity and just manually control characters. No matter how many tactics combinations I have tried, ranged characters ALWAYS ended up doing something really, really stupid which got them killed in the end. I suppose it's because not even the best set of scripts can cover all the situations characters find themselves in.

She is on ranged.
