I just bought TW1 and I'm thinking of buying Baldur's Gate 1 and 2.

Any great classic RPGs I should try?

Is anyone familiar with installing the BWP mod for Baldur's Gate?

Planescape: Torment, Arcanum, Fallout, Gothic, Fallout 2, in that order. You should be busy for months if you have anything else you have to do besides play games with just that list:)
Icewind Dale, Temple of Elemental Evil, Jagged Alliance 2, Gothic 2 (how could you forget that one, Orcishgamer! :P ), Arx Fatalis, Neverwinter Nights if only for the player created modules...
The problem with these "request" threads is that eventually almost single game in the genre is going to come up anyway, or at least those with 4.5 stars and above :P

I'd also recommend all the titles recommended by Carrot and orcishgamer. Now you just have to decide which one you want first ;)

I've never heard of the BWP mod before. I might reinstall BG one of these days to give it a go. The last time I re-played BG was in 2006 or so, with Tutu and a few mods that add new dialogues.

I played it, but I didn't think Gothic 2 was nearly as outstanding as Gothic. Still, it's not terrible by any stretch, just not up there with the rest. I also think Arx Fatalis is rather "meh" despite owning like 3 different versions of it.

Icewind Dale, ToEE and JA2 are all awesome choices, if the OP has the time, hell yeah, can't go wrong with them.
These are all some great suggestions to keep me busy for quite a while

If I understand correctly, "Big World Project" is a way to join BG1 and BG2 together so you can play them from start to finish within the BG2 engine.
