Hey there,
I have some problems with DosBox and Windows 8 on a Slate PC. While the games itself work fine (i tried settlers 2 from GoG and X-Com Apocalypse from Steam), DosBox doesn't probably recognize the touchscreen as input device.
the mouse cursor is way of the actual position of the finger. If I attach a normal mouse, everything works fine.
Is there a way to re-initialize the mouse on dropbox (like when you calibrate a joystick)? Or is this a deeper problem with the touchscreen?
(Alpha Centauri works fine, btw).
I have no problem to attach a mouse to my tablet, it still beats playing angry birds over and over and over and over .......

The way DosBox emulates mouse support for Dos applications doesn't seem to be compatible with this kind of device - I take a guess that whereas most Windows applications use the position of the desktop cursor DosBox can only provide its applications with information about mouse movements.

Dang, started googling - I was actually right, but some guys tried to circumvent this problem with their own DosBox release titled DosBox Turbo.

If you're at least slightly adept at configuring DosBox you might have a chance achieving what you want but the page says that the "absolute tracking" (which you need) is experimental. But worth a try, I guess.

Edit: Sorry, didn't check what the download options are. Only download I could find was for android. :/
