In fact, the App Store for the iPhone is nearly identical in the way it works. You have the top X best apps under any category (in fact, Android market allows for unlimited top X - it just scrolls further down while the iPhone appstore is capped to just 25 entries last time I checked?). You also can check the new apps, can sort according to category, can look between free and "pay" apps, can use tags to search, can see ratings, etc.

Yes, there's SITES like Androlib which offer a lot more info and let you search according to price and rating but the iPhone appstore doesn't support that either!

So please tell me how on earth what you said is anywhere close to reality?
