Hi everyone,

I just bought a new Windows 8.1 laptop/tablet combo. I was really looking forward to playing some of my favorite old games with my new touch screen. I immediately loaded up Master of Orion 2. The touchscreen is a little off. The cursor does not go exactly where I touch, it will usually be a few inches away from the spot I touch. I also tried Might & Magic IV and get the same problem. Is there any sort of calibration I can do so the cursor will actually go to the spot I touch on the screen. It looks like the left and right clicking and everything else works fine so I think it would be awesome to play these old game on a tablet.

Thanks!

Seeing as how I don't have any fancy tablets and/or smartphones, I can't really help you.
But, I do remember this topic where one of the GOGgers made a custom DOSBox build which fixed some issues (something to do with the SDL version used by DOSBox).
I have no idea if it'll help, or if it's outdated or anything.. but you know, it might at least be something to try.

Thanks for the input. That youtube video does demonstrate my problem. If you watch, the mouse cursor is a few inches from where his finger touches the screen. I was hoping there was some way to make the pointer follow the finger exactly.

There is a link to his custom build in the opening post, perhaps try that and see if it works.
The dropbox link seems to still work: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7hdpqzi9qhs15aa/3E7wqVRJ5i
