GoodGuyA: Bleck. The ORIGINAL Gothic? Heck no. Even though Arx is clunky, it's not nearly as so next to Gothic 1.
I finished Gothic 2-3 years back, but dropped Arx Fatalis as soon as I realized that there was no way to ID much of the loot I was finding aside from leveling up specific skills. How many games have loot you can't ID at a vendor???

I think you can buy identification scrolls. I don't remember loot identification being a huge problem but I really enjoyed the game so I was able to overlook some of its warts. :)
