hummer010: Confession time. I've never played a multiplayer game.

I guess I should clarify - I've never played an online multiplayer game. I mean I've played multiplayer on a single XBox.

I also distinctly remember one Christmas my brother and I connected my Pentium 100 to his 486DX100 with a null modem cable, and played some head to head nascar. The original one, by Papyrus, that belongs here on GOG. That was a lot of fun.

I'm not too sure why. Through the late 90's and early 00's, I always had a shitty internet connection, which was definitely part of it. I don't have a lot of friends that are gamers, and the idea of playing video games with strangers didn't seem all that appealing. Even during the latter half of the 00's, when I had a good internet connection, I just never tried it.

Do you do multiplayer? What's your favorite multiplayer game?
I only do multi with other GOGers :) I won't play with random people, no thank you!!! Couldn't pay me enough to do so :P

That said, I can't wait until Galaxy is out so I can play more games with GOGgers. I personally hope that Unreal Tournament 2004 is one of those games that gets made Galaxy-compatible somehow as it's been a LOOOOONG time since I played that with other people :D

I do play in our community Blood Bowl league and it's quite fun :D

Enebias: Multiplayer on PC has almost always been off-limits to me.
During the '90s, gaming computers costed waaaaaaay too much for my family, so I only used consoles. The same goes for almost anyone I know in my zone, and many sticked to them even when the prices of the components started to lower, so now basically all the friends of mine play exclusively on consoles. Add to that one of the worst internet connections you can find in my country, and you have the formula to create an evaluator of single-player games! ;)

I surely hope GOG Galaxy brings plenty of mltiplayer games, since I need to recover at least 20 years of missed titles! Besides, if during a multiplayer session the goglodytes are just as good as they are on the community, playing with them could only be a pleasure! :)

I saw that Judas mentioned Unreal Tournament 2004... that is a game I always wanted to try, but never had the chance to. I'm not bad with first person shooters, but I'm also not quite sure I can match the veterans! If you played the game, would you mind to tell me if it is noob-friendly enough? For example: to have even the slightest hope of survival, is it necessary to perfectly know the map and the weapons' locations? The only multiplayer shooter I played online until now is Halo, and there the "geographic knowlege" is too much rewarded, imo.
Just play free for all Deathmatch and just have fun :D
